Kivu is a response to a real need seen by Dr Brazzini in her clinics for a skin product that combines simplicity and efficacy and most importantly, clean ingredients and cutting edge scientific research.

Helix Aspersa secretion, or snail secretion, is the main ingredient in Kivu products and the origins of its usage can be traced back to Ancient Greece. It is a complex mix of proteins, glycolic acid and elastin developed by nature to prevent snail skin from infection and UV damage.

In developing the Kivu range, co-founder Dr Brazzini, was focused on maximising the regenerating, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties derived from Helix Aspersa secretion, but she also wanted the products to be hydrating and to help the elasticity and luminosity of the skin.

Dr. Brazzini has also found Helix Aspersa to be incredibly effective when treating patients with ageing concerns, sun damage, pigmentation disorders, acne and rosacea.
