Who You Are
As a Data Scientist at YUTY, you will be responsible for utilising the customer’s data to improve customer’s first experience of YUTY.me as they discover, navigate and shop on our marketplace. You are also expected to help YUTY in gathering more insightful data of the customers. You will be able to get involved in a wide range of creative projects in NLP, CV, and RL. You will work with the team on developing data pipelines to automate model training and delivery on cloud systems. You will be evaluating existing machine learning processes, supervising, optimising and enhancing the accuracy of our recommendation engine, virtual assistant, and chatbot.

Responsibilities:
We need you to write beautiful, fast Python code to a high standard for our Data Science projects - so you should be able to hit the ground running. You will also be able to:
- Understand and use computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, computability and complexity and computer architecture
- Use exceptional mathematical skills, in order to perform computations and work with the algorithms involved in this type of programming
- Write clean, well designed Python code
- Removing corrupted data and fixing coding errors and related problems
- Filter Data by reviewing reports and performance indicators to identify and correct code problems
- Consulting with managers to determine and refine machine learning objectives
- Designing machine learning systems and self-running artificial intelligence software to automate predictive models
- Ensuring that algorithms generate accurate user recommendations
- Turning unstructured data into useful information by auto-tagging images and text.
- Solving complex problems with multi-layered data sets, as well as optimising existing machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Developing ML algorithms to analyse huge volumes of historical data to make predictions
- Running tests, performing statistical analysis, and interpreting test results
- Documenting machine learning processes
- Keeping abreast of developments in machine learning
Requirements:
- You may have a BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related subjects involving maths, such as Data Science.
- Proven working experience as a Data Scientist
- Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modelling, and software architecture
- Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (PostgreSQL), programming (Python, Javascript)
- Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Pandas, Excel)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
- Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
