In order to use Artificial Intelligence to match people to the right beauty products, Simi needed a relevant and diverse dataset, so everyone could be recognised and Yuty could make accurate predictions.
Dropping the BAZAR, Yuty rebranded and relaunched with a new site and more brands after securing pre-seed investment, to better cater for their global customer base, on their journey to be the leading AI driven conscious beauty destination which puts you in beauty.
Founder Simi Lindgren was interviewed by Journalist Dr Ateh Jewel, at the time she was struggling to find the ‘perfect foundation for her multi-tonal combination’ skin. Raising a diverse family, she thought wouldn’t it be great if there was one destination to discover, evaluate and validate beauty products without waste, leveraging the power of AI.

A portmanteau of You+Beauty, BAZAR taken from bazaar as in marketplace. A marketplace which recognised one’s beauty. YUTYBAZAR launched on August 25, 2020 with 14 brands and garnered press in numerous publications as the AI driven inclusive beauty marketplace, and was recognised as a beauty gamechanger.
